Controlled burns planned in NE Washington
WILDFIRE – The Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife will be conducting controlled burns in Okanogan, Ferry and Pend Oreille counties. The burns are intended to reduce wildfire risk and support healthier habitat.
Burns are scheduled for later in the month on 200 ares of the Sherman Creek Wildlife Area, 200 acres of Rustlers Gulch Wildlife Area and 150 acres of the Le Clerc Creek Wildlife Area.
