Evans Brothers Coffee Roasters gets some love from Food and Wine

Food and Wine magazine recently listed its picks for the top coffee shop in every state, plus one or two runner-ups.

For Washington state, all of the recommendations were on the west side.

In Idaho, a couple of coffee shops in Boise and nearby Garden City got top mentions.

But Evans Brothers Coffee Roasters – “way up north in Sandpoint” – received a shout-out along with the praise that it’s “responsible for some of the best roasts in the state.”

Evens Brothers recently opened a new coffee shop in downtown Coeur d’Alene. It’s the second location for the boutique coffee roaster.

Brothers Rick and Randy Evans opened their coffee roasting company in Sandpoint in 2009. They started as a wholesale roaster, adding a café about three years later.

Evans Brothers was region’s first Good Food Award winner in 2013. It was also the first – and remains the only – establishment in the Inland Northwest to have won two Good Food Awards. It also won in 2016.

The Sandpoint shop and roasting operation is at 524 Church St. The new Coeur d’Alene shop is at 504 E. Sherman Ave. On the web: evansbrotherscoffee.com. Call (208) 265-5553.
