Take shootings seriously

For a while, school shootings have been a big deal, and there have been several walkouts all around the world to support this cause. At Mead High School, there was a walkout about a month ago. At the walkout, we paid tribute to the people that unfortunately died in the Freeman shooting. We then proceeded to walk around the school and re-enter through the main door symbolizing the only way in our school now.

School shootings are an awful act we have to face, and they are taking too many lives to just leave it alone. We are trying to pass a law that every teacher has to carry a gun at all times, but what we are not thinking about is the responsibility that puts on teachers.

School shootings need to be taken seriously or else people are going to keep getting killed right in front of our eyes. Sometimes fighting back is not the answer, it is just a matter of seeing the right person at the right time and saving them because, the truth is, school shootings hurt the shooter more than the students.
