Prep baseball playoffs: Desmond Parisotto’s no-hitter leads Freeman to District 7 1A title over Chewelah

Desmond Parisotto hurled a no-hitter, striking out 10 and Freeman (20-3) beat Chewelah (17-5) 3-0 in the District 7 1A championship game at Avista Stadium.

Parisotto also hit an RBI single in the first and Caleb Watts went 2 for 3 with an RBI for Freeman.

The Scotties will advance to the State tournament, set to play at 1:00 next Saturday at Ferris. Chewelah advances to a CTL/NEA Glue Crossover game on May 15.

Colville 7, Deer Park 5: Hunter True had two doubles and four RBIs, giving his team the lead in the top of the seventh, and the Indians (10-12) defeated the Stags (14-7) in the District 7 1A third-place game at Avista Stadium.

Jake Lindquist closed out the final two innings of the game with no hits, and went 2 for 4 with two runs and two RBIs at the plate. For the Stags, Kajin Tobeck had two singles and an RBI, and Weston Dean hit two singles and scored a run.

Colville advances to a CTL/NEA Glue Crossover game on May 15. Deer Park is eliminated.

Sandpoint 5, Lakeland 2: Tyler Lehman threw complete game and Billy Brackett went 2 for 3 with two runs and an RBI and the Bulldogs (12-4) eliminated the visiting Hawks (13-13) in the Idaho 4A District 1-2 championship game.

Sandpoint advances to state. Lakeland is eliminated.
