Police arrest woman who slashed ex-boyfriend’s hand at Lincoln Park

Police arrested a woman Thursday after she stabbed her ex-boyfriend in his hand at Lincoln Park on the South Hill, according to Spokane police.

The stabbing is the seventh in 12 days in Spokane.

The woman, Jennaffer Townley, 48, ran away after stabbing the victim, according to a police news release. Police arrived to get a description of Townley, and minutes later found her at Rock Cliff Apartments at Southeast Boulevard and Rockwood Boulevard, the release said. Townley had a “large, fixed blade knife with her upon being detained.”

Police booked her into the Spokane County Jail. She is charged with second-degree assault with a deadly weapon.

The victim suffered minor injuries to his hand, the release said.
