Depression center opens to offer non-invasive treatment

Kingfisher TMS, a new facility offering drug-free treatment for depression, has opened on the lower South Hill.

Kingfisher offers a non-invasive treatment procedure involving a small magnetic coil placed on the head to target the area of the brain controlling mood, according to a news release. David Greeley, a board-certified neurologist with nearly 30 years of experience, will is the facility’s medical director.

The facility is located at 26 E. Fifth Ave.

The Spokane locations area at 2006 N. Ash St., 6821 N. Division St. and 1233 N. Division St., all in Spokane. Therapy and balance center opens on North Washington

Fyzical Therapy and Balance Center recently opened a treatment and evaluation facility at 910 N. Washington St.

The facility offers safety overhead support and single point fixation systems, allowing clients to exercise safely without the fear of falling. Fyzical caters to individuals concerned with balance and gait, fear of falling, decreased stability and endurance, vertigo and dizziness. In addition to rehabilitation and balance training, the facility also offers general orthopedic physical therapy.

Paint-and-sip studio to offer black-light classes

Pinot’s Palette, a paint-and-sip studio, will feature black-light painting through the month of October.

Using special paint, artwork will glow under black light. Pinot’s Palette will offer four classes through the month, each highlighting the use of black light paint.
