Prep girls soccer roundup: East Valley downs Pullman to clinch Great Northern league title

Chloe Gellhaus scored two goals and East Valley (9-1-0-0) defeated visiting Pullman (0-11-0-1) 3-0 to clinch the Great Northern League title on Tuesday. The Knights will host the District 7 2A tournament title game on Oct. 30.

Clarkston 1, Cheney 0 (SO): Emerson Snyder delivered the decisive shootout goal and the visiting Bantams (4-6-2-0) beat the Blackhawks (6-5-0-1).

Northeast A

Deer Park 3, Freeman 1: Jessie Thomas scored two goals and Emmy Moore had two assists as the Stags (11-0-0-0) defeated the visiting Scotties (7-4-0-0) to clinch the league regular season title. Deer Park will host a second-round game in the NEA tourney on Oct. 25.

Riverside 2, Newport 1: Hayley McDonald scored the go-ahead goal in the 84th minute and the Rams (5-7-1-0) edged the visiting Grizzlies (2-9-2-1).

Colville 2, Medical Lake 0: Emma Goodwin scored the go-ahead in the 30th minute and Molly Goodwin made seven saves as the Indians (4-7-0) defeated the visiting Cardinals (1-10-0).
