Police arrest West Central Spokane stabbing suspect

Spokane police arrested a suspect accused of stabbing a man over an unintentional dogfight at a park in West Central two weeks ago.

According to a Spokane Police Department news release, police responded just before 1 a.m. Aug. 16 to a reported stabbing at Dutch Jake Park. When they arrived, officers learned two men had begun an altercation while trying to stop a dogfight. Timothy J. Lubben allegedly stabbed the other man, causing torso injuries that were not life-threatneing.

Police on Saturday morning spotted Lubben walking near the same park and arrested him. He was booked into the Spokane County Jail for assault. His first court appearance is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Tuesday.
