In brief: Teams can still sign-up for Rockford’s annual Harvest Hoops 3-on-3

The 3-on-3 basketball season doesn’t end with summer vacation. Entries are being accepted through Sept. 15 for the 26th annual Harvest Hoops 3-on-3 event Sept. 22-23 in Rockford, staged during the Southeast Spokane County Fair by the Freeman High School Athletic Booster Club.

Games will be played on First Street in Rockford beginning at noon Sept. 22. The entry fee is $60 per team (three or four players) for third- through sixth-graders, and $80 for seventh-graders through adults. There’s a $15 late fee for entries not postmarked by Monday.

Entry forms are available at businesses in Freeman, Rockford, Fairfield, Plummer and St. Maries, or can be downloaded at or on Facebook at harvesthoops3on3. More information is available by calling (509) 928-5839 or emailing
