Dick’s Sporting Goods hiring for Newport Highway store to open in October

Dick’s Sporting Goods is hiring staff for a new store opening in October in Northpointe Plaza, 9620 N. Newport Highway.

Company officials expect to hire 40 full-time and part-time associates for the new store, as well as about 25 temporary positions. More information about the positions can be found at dickssportinggoods.jobs.

The new store, which is in a former Sports Authority site, will feature athletic and outdoor apparel and footwear and the latest gear for team sports and fitness. The opening date will be announced in the coming weeks.

Headquartered in Pittsburgh, Dick’s Sporting Goods operates 728 stores in the U.S. and also sells goods online.

The company also owns and operates Golf Galaxy and Field & Stream specialty stores, as well as Dick’s Team Sports HQ, a youth sports digital platform.
