The 15th annual Spokane River cleanup is Saturday.

Volunteers will spend a day helping clean up the downtown Spokane River Gorge, areas in Spokane Valley, the University District and the Riverside State Park area between 10 a.m. and noon.

Last year, more than 600 volunteers removed more than 4 tons of debris from Riverside State Park to High Bridge Park to the University District to Spokane Valley.

The cleanup is hosted by the Lands Council and coordinated by the Spokane River Forum.

To register for the cleanup, visit spokanerivercleanup.org, call (509) 209-2851 or email lbox@landscouncil.org.
