ZZ Ward, Pickwick to perform at First Interstate Center for the Arts reopening concert

After months of renovations, the Spokane Public Facilities District is just about ready to unveil the First Interstate Center for the Arts, formerly known as the INB Performing Arts Center.

To celebrate the reopening, the venue will welcome Pennsylvania-born, Roseburg, Oregon-raised blues-rock singer ZZ Ward and Seattle indie-R&B quintet Pickwick for a free concert on Nov. 5.

The public can claim up to four general admission tickets starting Friday at 10 a.m. Tickets will be in a digital format, print-at-home or mobile, and are only available online through www.ticketswest.com.

“The incredible community we live in is what makes this venue so special,” Spokane Public Facilities District Chief Executive Officer Stephanie Curran said in a press release “The people who support this venue and the arts are really what it’s all about. We wanted to find a way to celebrate the reopening while also saying ‘thank you’ to the people who make it possible to do what we do.”

The new name coincides with the completion of $23 million in upgrades and renovations.
