One person was hospitalized after a two-car collision at Market Street and Euclid Avenue.

Witnesses said a Subaru, driven by a man headed south on Market, hit a van driven by a woman with her child in a car seat at about 11:45 a.m., sending the van sliding on its roof near the middle of the intersection.

Cpl. Ron Van Tassel, spokesman for the Spokane Police Department, said one person was taken by ambulance to a local hospital “mostly as a precaution.”

The woman, who was pregnant, and her child were not injured.

The westbound lanes of Euclid were closed for about an hour while officers and tow truck crews worked to clear the scene. One lane of northbound Market was briefly closed.

Van Tassel said there were no arrests made. He couldn’t immediately say Wednesday if there were any citations.
