Idaho Vandals football players charged with theft

From staff reports

Police say two University of Idaho football players attempted to steal more than $100 of food from a Walmart, according to a report by KHQ-TV.

Christian Elliss, son of defensive line coach Luther Elliss, and Dalton Cash were arrested last month and charged with the thefts, according to KHQ.

“We make it very clear that the actions of our student-athletes reflect on more than just themselves and when those actions are not in line with our program’s expectations there will be consequences,” Paul Petrino said in a statement. “Christian and Dalton made a poor decision and they will both be suspended for the first game of the 2019 season.”
