Gonzaga senior point guard Josh Perkins will compete Thursday in the State Farm 3-point Championship at the Final Four.

Perkins and Washington’s David Crisp are in the field of eight. The 3-point and slam dunk contests will be televised live on ESPN at 6 p.m. PT from the Target Center in Minneapolis.

Perkins ranks fourth in program history with 253 career 3-pointers. He hit 38.6 percent of his 3-point attempts.

Perkins is GU’s single-season and career leader in assists and ranks second with 134 career wins. He’s second behind John Stockton in school history with 178 career steals and No. 12 in career scoring with 1,562 points.

Idaho’s Taylor Pierce, who set an NCAA single-season record with 154 3-pointers this year, is one of eight in the women’s 3-point competition.

The men’s and women’s winners will square off in a battle of champions.

Pacific’s Roberto Gallinat will compete in the dunk competition.
