A smarter terrorism?

I am truly thankful that we haven’t (apparently) been the victim of any new and especially deadly foreign-inspired terrorist attacks. Without a doubt, our FBI and intelligence and police agencies deserve our profound gratitude, though we understandably don’t hear much about those efforts and successes. In any case, we should be extremely grateful for our good fortune … shouldn’t we?

However, that subsequently triggered a most disturbing thought. Those foreign terrorists might actually be a lot smarter, more capable and devious, and intelligent than we have previously believed.

So, when did the terrorists come to the disturbing (to us) conclusion that Trump is actually very effectively doing their job for them in destroying our democracy, our treasured institutions, and our self-respect?
