Why not just wait?

Mr. Paul Oman’s recent letter (“Trump’s victory lap,” April 6) alleges that President Trump neutralized the Mueller investigation through control of the media.

Seriously? That would be quite an accomplishment, considering there are really only two conservatively slanted major media organizations left in America, Fox News and the WSJ opinion page, compared to the mostly liberal viewpoints of CNN, MSNBC, the New York, LA and Seattle times, the Washington Post and virtually every other major newspaper.

In addition many journalists, at least two congressmen, a former CIA director and President Obama’s director of national intelligence all stated they had inside information that there was collusion. Yet according to AG Barr’s summary there was no collusion.

Both Democrats and Republicans are demanding to see the entire report, so it’s certain to be released at some point soon. Did President Trump somehow masterfully suppress incriminating evidence from a report that took over two years and cost $25 million while knowing the report would eventually be released to expose his nefarious deed? Or did a number of people let their hatred of the president cloud their judgment? Rather than make absurd assumptions why don’t we simply wait for the full report to be released?
