Asotin County judge arrested for alleged sexual misconduct

Washington State Patrol announced Wednesday that troopers arrested an Asotin County judge suspected of criminal sexual misconduct.

The Asotin County Sheriff’s Office requested that WSP arrest Judge Scott D. Gallina late last month, according to a news release from the WSP.

The state agency sometimes helps local governments in cases to ensure transparency, fairness and thoroughness, said WSP Chief John Batiste. The case and any subsequent prosecution will be led by the Washington State Attorney General’s office, according to the release.
