Spokane police arrested a man over the weekend accused of pointing a gun at his ex-wife while he kidnapped their son.

Anthony E. Hall, 42, was taken into custody at about 9 p.m. Sunday, two days after the child’s mother contacted police, saying her 8-year-old son had been taken from her residence in the 2100 block of W. Fairview Ave. Court records say Hall entered her home with a handgun, pointed it at her and said, “You think you are going to take my son away from me?”

The woman, who said she was involved in a custody battle with Hall, told police Hall was armed and traveling in a motor home.

Officers located the motor home Sunday afternoon in the area of Trent Avenue and Fancher Road. Hall later was arrested during a traffic stop on Rutter Way. He faces charges of assault, burglary and malicious mischief.

The boy was returned safely to his mother.

In court Monday, a judge set Hall’s bond at $25,000, KHQ News reported.
