Somebody needs you: Baby formula, items for toddler’s room, mattress sought

The goal of Somebody Needs You is to match donors with the specific requests of needy Spokane residents.

The list of requests is coordinated by Volunteers of America in cooperation with recognized social service agencies in Spokane. If you have an item to donate, please contact the social service agency directly. Donors who can deliver items are especially appreciated.

If someone you know needs help, contact a local social service agency provider.

    A family with a young child seeks a toddler bed, bedsheets, mattress protector, toddler or twin-size bed frame. Contact Katie Docherty, of Early Head Start, (509) 869-0086.

    A family, with a disabled mother and four children, need Similac Sensitive Formula for their infant. Contact Shannon Mortenson, of Early Head Start, at (509) 475-7018.

    A family is in need of a new queen-size mattress due to all their belongings being contaminated with black mold, and members of the family being severely allergic to the mold. If you can help, contact Emily Willet, of the H.E.L.P.S. Group, at (509) 290-1525.
