Girls basketball: Davenport and Northwest Christian win to share NE 2B title

Kylee Buchanan scored a game high 17 points to lead visiting Davenport (17-3, 9-1) over Wilbur-Creston (5-12, 0-10) 55-15 to win a share of the Northeast 2B North league title on Friday. Haley Greenwood scored 13 points and Macie Hopkins added 10 for Davenport. Mackenzie Arden lead Wilbur-Creston with eight points.

Northwest Christian 65, Chewelah 30: Ellie Sander scored 21 points and the visiting Crusaders (17-3, 9-1) beat the Cougars (10-10, 3-7) to win a share of the Northeast 2B North league title. Natalie Smith and Jordan Rabe added 13 points apiece for Northwest Christian. Kennedy Robison led Chewelah with nine points.

St. George’s 52, Kettle Falls 38: Abby Jones scored 16 points and the Dragons (11-9, 6-4) defeated the visiting Bulldogs (10-10, 3-7). Lydia Bergquist added 13 points and Cambrie Rickard 12 for St. George’s. Mya Edwards led Kettle Falls with 17 points.

Liberty 58, Colfax 37: Maisie Burnham scored 28 points and the Lancers (19-2, 10-1) defeated the visiting Bulldogs (11-10, 7-4). Asher Cai led Colfax with 22 points. Aleena Cook added 16 points for Liberty.

Lind-Ritzville/ Sprague 42, Reardan 31: Linnea Schafer scored 22 points and Eliza Galbreath added 10 and the visiting Broncos (10-10, 7-3) beat the Indians (9-10, 6-5). Kimberly Dewey led Reardan with 13 points.

Asotin 47, Tekoa-Rosalia 34: Kinzie Miller scored 16 poitns and the Panthers (3-17, 2-8) defeated the visiting Timberwolves (1-18, 0-10). Elise Wilkins led Tekoa-Rosalia with nine points.

5A Inland Empire District I-II

Lake City 57, Lewiston 53: Bridget Rieken scored 16 points to lead the Timberwolves (19-3) over the visiting Bengals (9-12) in an Inland Empire 5A District 1-2 playoff game. Brooklyn Rowers scored 12 points and Dejah Wilson added 10 for Lake City. Kendyll Kinzer scored a game high 20 for Lewiston and Caitlin Richardson added 10.

Coeur d’Alene 55, Post Falls 40: Coeur d’Alene defeated Post Falls in an Inland Empire 5A District 1-2 playoff game. Coeur d’Alene will face Lake City on Februray 5th for the District title.

GNL

Clarkston 40, West Valley 35: Ashlyn Wallace scored 14 points and the Bantams (18-1, 10-1) beat the visiting Eagles (11-8, 5-6) to remain in first place in the Great Northern League. Hailey Marlow led West Valley with 15 points. Clarkston will play second place East Valley (17-2, 9-2) on Feb. 5 to decide the title. The teams have split their two previous meetings.

Cheney 54, Pullman 43: Hailey Pemberton scored 15 points and Emma Evans added 14 and the visiting Blackhawks (8-11, 4-7) beat the Greyhounds (4-16, 0-12). Rian Clear and Meghan McSweeny led Pullman with eight points apiece.

SE 1B

Colton 75, Touchet 6: Emily Schultheis scored 19 points and the visiting Wildcats (16-2, 11-0) beat the Indians (2-9, 2-8). Dakota Patchen scored 12 points and Rylee Vining and Abby Kelly added 11 each for Colton.

Oakesdale 50, St. John-Endicott/LaCrosse 33: Julie Baljo scored 16 points and Justice Brown added 15 and the visiting Nighthawks (15-4, 7-4) beat the Eagles (10-9, 5-6). Drew Curtis-Brewer led St. John-Endicott/LaCrosse with nine points and nine rebounds.

Pomeroy 46, Garfield-Palouse 26: Maddy Dixon scored 16 points and the visiting Pirates (16-2, 9-2) downed the Vikings (10-9, 4-7). Sydney Smith added 10 points for Pomeroy. Kenzie Pedersen scored 13 points for Garfield-Palouse.

NSL

Genesis Prep 53, Kootenai 15: Bella Murekatete scored 19 points and the Jaguars (9-10, 2-1) topped the visiting Warriors. Rachel Schroeder added 11 points for Genesis Prep.
