Police: Man fatally shot outside Everett restaurant

Associated Press

EVERETT, Wash. – Police say a man was shot and killed outside a fast-food restaurant in northwest Washington state.

The Daily Herald reports Everett police responded to a Jack in the Box restaurant early Sunday, finding man with a gunshot wound and an uninjured woman.

Officers began CPR on the man, but he was later pronounced dead at the scene. Police did not release the man’s name.

Police say the woman put the man’s gun into her purse before officers arrived. She was arrested on suspicious of tampering with evidence.

Police say they believe two other people were involved in the shooting, and that the victim and suspects knew each other.

Police detained one man near the scene.
