Woman wakes up to find alleged burglar sleeping on bedroom floor

From staff reports

Police arrested a man after he was found sleeping on a woman’s bedroom floor Tuesday morning, according to a news release from the Spokane Police Department.

The suspect, Nicholas P. Anderson, 26, was booked into Spokane County Jail on Tuesday and faces charges for burglary and theft. Anderson has a history of felony arrests including a burglary in Idaho, according to the news release.

Upon seeing Anderson when she woke up, the victim, who lives at 1200 W. College Ave., fled from her residence, called 911 and waited in a safe location, the news release stated. Her name was not released.

“At some point, some of her property was stolen,” SPD spokesman John O’Brian told KHQ.

The suspect made it into the apartment through a window on the first floor, KHQ reported.
