Girls regionals: Freeman, Medical Lake punch tickets to state

Ellis Crowley scored 12 points to lead 10th-seeded Freeman (18-6) over 15th-seeded Connell (17-7) in a 1A state regional loser-out game at West Valley HS on Friday.

Ashley Boswell and Jordyn Goldsmith each scored 10 points for Freeman. Madison Smith scored 17 points to lead Connell.

Freeman advances to a state first-round game at the Yakima Valley SunDome on Wednesday.

Medical Lake 42, King’s Way Christian 31: Lexie Reddell scored 14 points to lead the ninth-seeded Cardinals (18-6) over the 16th-seeded Knights (16-8) in a 1A state regional loser-out game at West Valley.

Jessica Lohman added 12 points for Medical Lake, which advances to a state first-round game at the Yakima Valley SunDome on Wednesday. Mackenzie Ellertson scored 11 points to lead King’s Way Christian.

LaConner 54, Liberty 44: Justine Benson scored 28 points and the third-seeded Braves (19-3) topped the sixth-seeded Lancers (21-3) in a 2B state regional at Everett CC.

LaConner advances to a state second-round game on Thursday at the Spokane Arena while Liberty faces a first-round game on Wednesday.

Almira/Coulee-Hartline 48, Sunnyside Christian 38: Gabby Isaak scored 20 points with 16 rebounds and the third-seeded Warriors (22-1) topped the sixth-seeded Knights (19-5) in a 1B state regional at Cheney HS.

ACH advances to a state second-round game on Thursday at the Spokane Arena while Sunnyside Christian faces a first-round game on Wednesday.

Sarah Bradshaw added 13 points for Almira/Coulee-Hartline.

Inchelium 62, Entiat 38: Rylee Desautel scored 26 points and the 14th-seeded Hornets (17-8) defeated the 11th-seeded Tigers (16-7) in a 1B state regional loser-out at Wenatchee HS.

Inchelium advances to a state first-round game at the Arena on Wednesday.

Erika Romero added 12 points for Inchelium whlie Mika Sanford led Entiat with 10 points.
