Girls basketball: Ashlynn Wallace scores 20 points to help Clarkston beat West Valley and stay undefeated

Ashlynn Wallace scored 20 points and Clarkston (9-0, 4-0, 2-2) beat visiting West Valley (7-3) 58-53 in a Great Northern League game on Friday.

Hailey Marlow led the Eagles with 22 points.

Cheney 60, Pullman 39: Aijia Loffredi scored 16 points and the visiting Blackhawks (5-6, 1-3) defeated the Greyhounds (4-7, 0-4). Emma Evans added 15 points for Cheney.

Northeast 1A

Deer Park 41, Medical Lake 32: Havelah Fairbanks and Taylor Lyons scored 11 points apiece and the visiting Stags (9-3, 3-2) defeated the Cardinals (6-4, 3-1). Jessica Lohman led Medical Lake with 11 points.

Freeman 58, Lakeside (WA) 23: Anna Chisholm scored 12 points and the Scotties (9-3, 4-0) beat the visiting Eagles (4-8, 2-2). Sydney McLean added 10 points for Freeman.

Colville 55, Riverside 42: Hallie Cox scored 15 points and the Indians (6-6, 2-2) defeated the visiting Rams (3-7, 0-4). Brittney Nortz led Riverside with 14 points.

Northeast 2B

Colfax 44, Liberty 40: Taylre Sakamoto-Howell scored 22 points and the Bulldogs (5-6, 2-1) fought off the visiting Lancers (9-2, 2-1). Asher Cai added 11 rebounds for Colfax. Aleena Cook led Liberty with 14 points.

St. George’s 49, Kettle Falls 36: Lydia Bergquist scored 20 points and the visiting Dragons (6-5, 2-1) held off the Bulldogs (8-5, 1-2). St. George’s drained 8-of-10 free throws after Kettle Falls pulled to within four points with just over a minute to play. Iris Armstrong led Kettle Falls with eight points.

Northwest Christian 42, Chewelah 31: Ellie Sander scored 18 points and the Crusaders (9-1, 3-0) defeated the visiting Cougars (8-4, 1-1). Alyssa Fitzgerald led Chewelah with 14 points.

Davenport 68, Wilbur-Creston 6: Lainy Jacobsen scored 14 points and the Gorillas (7-2, 2-1) defeated the visiting Wildcats (4-5, 0-3). Janaye Wilkie added 11 points for Davenport.

Reardan 45, Lind-Ritzville/Sprague 43: Emma Wiedmer scored 14 points and the visiting Indians (6-4, 3-0) beat the Broncos (3-6, 0-4). Dakota Killian and Julia Klein led Lind-Ritzville/Sprague with 10 points apiece.

Asotin 53, Tekoa-Rosalia 29: Adrienne Washington scored 17 points and the visiting Panthers (1-9, 1-2) topped the Timberwolves (1-10, 0-3). Emily Kramer led Tekoa-Rosalia with eight points.

Northeast 1B

Almira/Coulee-Hartline 59, Curlew 45: Gabi Isaak scored 27 points with 13 rebounds and the Warriors (8-0, 5-0) defeated the Cougars (4-2, 4-2 ). Korin Baker scored 17 to lead Curlew.

Valley Christian 70, Republic 26: Phoebe Trigsted scored 31 points and the Panthers (7-2, 5-1) defeated the visiting Tigers (0-6, 0-5). Trigsted scored her 1500th career point during the game. Jolynn Pope, Karrah Pope and Kendra Pope all had double-doubles for Valley Christian.

Selkirk 47, Wellpinit 43: Jenna Couch scored 13 points and the visiting Rangers (6-1, 6-1) beat the Redskins (7-3, 2-3). Christina Flett and Ashlynn Hill had 10 points apiece for Wellpinit.

Columbia 44, Cusick 40: Lexi Nelson scored 20 points and the Lions (1-7, 1-3) topped the Panthers (0-7, 0-5). Teresa Campbell led Cusick with 34 points.

Southeast 1B

Colton 85, St. John-Endicott/LaCrosse 28: Emily Schultheis and Addison Kinzer scored 16 points apiece and the visiting Wildcats (9-2, 4-0) defeated the Eagles (5-5, 2-3). Riley Lamb and Drew Curtis-Brewer led St. John-Endicott/LaCrosse with nine points each.

Garfield-Palouse 32, Touchet 30: Kenzi Petersen hit the game-winning shot as time expired and the Vikings (7-4, 2-3) defeated the visiting Indians (1-6, 1-3). Petersen finished with 16 points and eight rebounds.

Idaho

Bonners Ferry 52, Priest River 21: Holly Anslee scored 21 points and the Badgers (11-3, 1-0) beat the visiting Spartans (2-9, 0-1) in an Intermountain League game. Baylee Blackmore added 13 points for Bonners Ferry.
