Girls basketball: Mel Loutzenhiser leads Lakeland over Moscow

Mel Loutzenhiser scored 15 points to lead Lakeland (6-9, 1-0) over visiting Moscow (6-9, 0-1) 55-45 in a 4A Inland Empire league game on Thursday.

Katie Ryan grabbed 12 rebounds for Lakeland. Megan Jung scored 16 points for Moscow.

Timberlake 57, Kellogg 26: Mckeeley Tonkin scored 15 points and the Tigers (13-2, 2-0) beat the visiting Wildcats (7-7, 1-1) in an Intermountain League matchup. Hailey Cheney led Kellogg with eight points.
