The Spokane Chiefs have signed forward Kaden Hanas to a WHL Standard Player Agreement, the team announced on Thursday.

Hanas is expected to join the team this week.

“Kaden plays with grit and competes,” Chiefs assistant general manager Chris Moulton said in a team release. “We are pleased to have him join our club for the remainder of the season.”

Hanas, 19, spent the first half of this season with the Drumheller Dragons of the Alberta Junior Hockey League, scoring five goals and 12 assists for 17 points in 30 games.

The Chiefs also announced on Thursday that they have reassigned defenseman Mike Ladyman.

Ladyman is expected to join the Winnipeg Blues of the Manitoba Junior Hockey League

Ladyman will remain on the Chiefs’ 50-man protected list and be eligible to return to the Chiefs as an Affiliated Player following the conclusion of the Blues’ season. In 22 WHL games this season, he recorded two assists.
