After splitting two games on the road last week, the Gonzaga women’s basketball team slipped to No. 18 in the latest Associated Press Top 25 poll.

The Bulldogs (17-2), ranked a program-best No. 13 last week, lost a 70-68 heartbreaker at BYU then bounced back with a 86-61 rout of San Diego.

The Bulldogs were not alone in the loss column _ 13 ranked teams lost last week.

In the aftermath of those setbacks, four teams entered the poll this week. Utah (16-1) is ranked for the first time since the final poll of the 2008 season. No. 22 Florida State, No. 24 Texas A&M and No. 25 Missouri are also new this week.

While there was change at the bottom of the poll, the top eight teams stayed virtually the same with Notre Dame leading the way.
