Two adults, two dogs displaced by house fire

From staff reports

Spokane Valley Firefighters responded to a house fire early Wednesday morning that displaced two people and two dogs. No one was hurt.

At 2:20 a.m. on the 500 block of East Liberty Avenue, firefighters responded to the fire, which sent heavy smoke out the front door. Both residents and two dogs had escaped and were safe, according to a news release from the Spokane Valley Fire Department.

Firefighters extinguished the fire, but the garage and the house had “heavy damage,” according to the news release.

The Spokane Fire Department is investigating the cause of the fire.
