NIC hands wrestling reins to Michael Sebaaly

North Idaho College athletics director Al Williams announced that Michael Sebaaly has been named the Cardinals’ new wrestling coach.

Sebaaly has spent the past five seasons as the head coach at Northwest Kansas Technical College. His team finished No. 3 in the final NJCAA rankings this season and won the National Duals Championship.

“I recognize the expectations are high for the wrestling team at North Idaho College,” said Sebaaly. “I take those expectations, which are steeped in the great traditions of this program, seriously. I am honored to be a part of this team and look forward to continuing the program’s success, including the popular Tri-State Wrestling Tournament in December and summer wrestling camps.”

Sebaaly, who wrestled at the Division I level for the University of Buffalo, spent two years as an assistant coach at Alfred State prior to taking over at NWKTC.
