From staff reports

The U.S. Forest Service will hold a conference call to provide an update on the review of objections to the revised Colville National Forest Plan. The call will also discuss the format and scheduling of the upcoming face-to-face meeting.

The conference call will occur on March 13 from 10 a.m. to noon and will be hosted by Allen Rowley, objection reviewing officer. Members of the public are welcome to listen during the conference call.

Altogether, 20 groups filed objections. Many of those objections touched on the wilderness portion of the forest plan which greatly reduced the number of eligible acres. However, objectors also raised concerns about riparian area regulations, decommissioning roads and other issues.

If you plan to join this conference call please RSVP to administrative review coordinator Peri Suenram at peri.suenram@usda.gov to receive conference call information.
