Real estate company opens new office on South Hill

John L. Scott Real Estate has announced an addition to their group of company-owned offices.

The new location is on Spokane’s South Hill is in Lincoln Heights Shopping Center at 2727 South Mount Vernon Street, Suite 1.

Daniel Dailey, current office leader of the company’s Spokane office, will be acting office leader for the new location.

“The South Hill neighborhood of Spokane is rapidly expanding, and our goal is to bring our exceptional client services and unparalleled support for brokers to the hyperlocal market,” Dailey said in a news release.

Gonzaga business programs make U.S. News rankings

Three programs in Gonzaga University’s School of Business Administration have been listed in U.S. News & World Report’s 2020 rankings of “best business schools.”

The graduate accounting program was ranked 18th in the nation; the master’s of business administration in finance, 21stl the part-time master’s of business administration program, 44th.

Rankings are based on five factors, including average peer assessment score, average GMAT and GRE scores, students’ average undergraduate GPA, students’ work experience and percentage of each business school’s MBA part-time enrollment.

CdA developer chosen for SBA mentoring program

Coeur d’Alene-based land-development firm Verdis has been accepted into a Small Business Administration mentoring program that pairs small businesses with larger, established companies.

Verdis is partnering with Western Specialty Contractors, a St. Louis-based company with 30 offices across the country. The partnership will allow Verdis access to Western Specialty Contractors’ $100-million-plus bonding capability, allowing the company to take on bigger projects, according to a news release.

Vista Title and Escrow acquires Prime Closing

Vista Title and Escrow is finalizing the purchase of 23-year-old local escrow company Prime Closing.

The acquisition will expand Vista’s reach with a location in north Spokane and double Vista’s production capacity, according to a company news release.

After 15 years at Merrill Lynch as a senior financial adviser, David Austin has started his own private practice, Austin Wealth Management.

Austin will continue to serve clients as a senior financial adviser through his new company, located at 202 E. Spokane Falls Blvd.
