Education

Gonzaga University has hired four new academic deans. Yolanda G. Carter is the new dean of the School of Education, Karlene A. Hoo will be dean of the School of Engineering and Applied Science, Rosemarie Hunter joins as dean of the School of Leadership Studies and Vincent L. Salyers will be dean of the School of Nursing and Human Physiology. Hoo and Hunter fill their roles June 17, while Carter and Salyers begin July 1.

Engineering

Layne Merritt has been appointed area manager for the Spokane office of J-U-B Engineers Inc. Merritt has 28 years of experience in the industry and has been with J-U-B since 2010. The company’s 18 offices are in Idaho, Utah, Washington, Colorado, Oregon and Wyoming.

Health

Robert White has been hired as chief operating officer for Inland Imaging LLC, the Pacific Medical Center Imaging Department in Seattle and the Sacred Heart Medical Center Radiology Department in Spokane. White has more than 20 years of executive leadership experience in radiology, medical imaging and health care.

Law

Following the expansion of Lucent Law to a second Spokane office at 201 W. Francis Ave., the firm has hired Melissa Stone and Diane King to assist clientele at the new location.

Spokane Youth Sports Association has announced its 2019-2020 board of trustees. Jeff Geldien of Gonzaga is president.
