Prep track and field: Central Valley boys, girls win Greater Spokane League titles

Central Valley track and field ruled the Greater Spokane League this spring.

The Bears boys (9-0) and girls (9-0) track teams wrapped up undefeated seasons in GSL dual meets Thursday at Central Valley.

Central Valley’s boys edged Mead 73-72 in a head-to-head dual that decided that league title. The defending champion Panthers (8-1) placed second.

Central Valley’s girls cruised to an eighth consecutive GSL title.

The Bears host the District 8 4A qualifying meet on Thursday and Friday.
