The Spokane County medical examiner has identified a man who died while bicycling Sunday in the Mica Peak Conservation Area.

Mark E. Miller, 66, died from severe coronary artery disease with complications from hypertension, the medical examiner said Thursday. The manner of death is listed as natural.

Bystanders saw Miller bicycling and later found him unresponsive on a bike trail. He did not have identification.

Neighbor Jasen Quenzer said Miller “was a really good guy.”

Quenzer said Miller lived alone. Miller had two adult children whom Quenzer knew of and a dog that was taken to SCRAPS after he died.

Miller was mechanically savvy and would help Quenzer with engine issues with his riding lawn mower, he said.

On Tuesday, the medical examiner’s office sent out a news release asking for the public’s help in identifying Miller.
