Learn the ropes first

Reading a teleprompter for 20+ years hardly qualifies a person to be mayor of Spokane. I suggest Ms. Woodward start her journey of civic education at a lower position where she can learn the workings of civic government from inside City Hall rather than her former cushy perch as an anchorperson where hair, makeup and veneers usually play a more important role than the content of the news broadcast.
