A Lewiston resident was injured Tuesday afternoon in a crash on U.S. Highway 195 south of Rosalia, the Washington State Patrol reported.

Kevin S. Acree, 48, was driving his Dodge pickup north on U.S. 195 about five miles south of Rosalia about 2:30 p.m. when a semitruck in front of him stopped to make a left turn. The pickup rear-ended the semitruck. Acree, who was wearing a seat belt, was injured and transported to Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center.

The driver of the semi, Donald S. Huffman, 63, of Palouse, Washington, was wearing a seat belt and not injured.

Neither alcohol nor drugs were believed to be a factor, according to WSP.
