Man found dead in Jefferson Street home; police investigating

A dead man was found inside a home on the 2000 block of North Jefferson Street early Wednesday morning.

The Spokane Police Department’s Major Crimes Unit has detectives investigating the man’s death, which was reported about 4 a.m. near the intersection of North Jefferson Street and Northwest Boulevard.

The identity of the man was not released by Spokane police on Wednesday.

Per department protocol, police will not speculate on the nature of the man’s death, according to spokeswoman Julie Humphreys.

It was not immediately clear who reported the death .
