Idaho troopers arrest Montana homicide suspect outside Coeur d’Alene

The suspect in a Montana homicide was arrested near Coeur d’Alene Tuesday.

Around 10 a.m., members of the Idaho State Police stopped a vehicle traveling on Interstate 90 outside of Coeur d’Alene. Benial Davis, 37, from Billings, Montana was in the car, according to an ISP news release.

Davis is now in custody at the Kootenai County Correctional Facility on a deliberate homicide warrant out of Yellowstone County. The warrant is related to a Sunday homicide in the 4100 block of East King Avenue in Billings, the news release said.

In that case, a 30-year-old man was shot Sunday. Medics brought the man to a Billings hospital before he died, the Billings Police Department tweeted Sunday.

The investigation remains ongoing. Billings police are coordinating investigative efforts with ISP, the release said.
