EWU’s Sherritt captures Buchanan Award

Eastern Washington University's senior linebacker and two-time All-American J.C. Sherritt has been named the winner of the 2010 Buck Buchanan Award as the Football Championship Subdivision's top defensive player.

Sherritt, who finished second in last year's Buchanan voting, was to be honored at a banquet later this evening in Frisco, Texas., where he and his Eastern teammates will take on Delaware in Friday's NCAA Division I Championship at Pizza Hut Park.
