Dao Returns
Dao Nguyen has returned to Spokane, from Vietnam, after she first came here in 2006, with the help of plastic surgeon Frank Walchak, and his wife, Carolyn. They had met her on a medical mission and learned she had lost her left hand due to injuries she suffered in a fire when she was an infant. With the Walchak's help, Dao received a prosthetic hand.
