Outdoor adventurers should always go into a trip with alternatives for
the unexpected.
“You need a Plan A, and a Plan B - and the right attitude for both
options,” says Spokesman-Review outdoors editor Rich Landers. A nine-day
February sea kayaking expedition to Mexico’s Baja California gives him a
chance to show how a group can have the trip of a lifetime, even in a
bout of foul weather. The week he spent in the Sea of Cortez was a
pleasant reminder: “Outdoor adventure is unpredictable,” he said.
“That’s why we like it.”
