Stunning photographs and story on the eruption. I was living in the San Francisco Bay Area at the time of the eruption of Mount St. Helens. Our sky was bright and sunny when a strange haze appeared around noon as was reported. We were glued to our TV’s and worried for everyone in the Northwest. I never saw photo’s like the ones here in this production and I am truly amazed at the ominous clouds and ash that covered the entire Inland Northwest. Thank you for the insight to information and photo’s I never saw or knew about the eruption. Fantastic reporting and production!

Thanks for the video! It brings back a lot of memories. I was a senior at North Central when it happened and it was an amazing experience to live through - very scary while it was happening. I’m sure I knew about a lot of these things at the time - the people stranded in Ritzville and how bad it was in Yakima, etc., but I’d forgotten that over the years. I was very glad that I was safe at home when it happened!

Great work! I loved watching it in full screen view and seeing multiple pictures on the screen at one time.
