Floating Wetland

In a private pond near Hayden Lake, staffers and volunteers with the Kootenai Environmental Alliance are building a floating wetland as a pilot project that could help the nearby lake with its excess phosphorus problem. The concept of a raft of floating vegetation that can pull phosphorus from the water could reverse the water quality problem in the popular water way.
