‘I Have a Dream’ speech — Happy Watkins

Rev. Percy “Happy” Watkins delivered Martin Luther King Jr.’s “I Have a Dream” speech on Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2013, at Holy Family Hospital. This is an excerpt. Watkins is the longtime pastor of New Hope Baptist Church and a community activist. He said in the two weeks leading up to the MLK holiday he delivers King’s speech 30 to 40 times.
