Train noise in Spokane Valley and Cheney

The neighbors who live along the train tracks in Spokane Valley and Cheney are trying to solve a 130-year-old problem: lowering the noise level around the tracks as trains move through the area. For safety, they must blow their horns. But if crossings were upgraded with better warning equipment, a quiet zone might be created, allowing Valley residents to sleep undisturbed.
