Game day for Zags, Gaels

Gonzaga's Guy Landry Edi and St Mary's Matthew Dellavedova scramble for a loose ballin the 1st half, Feb. 9, 2012. (Dan Pelle / The Spokesman-Review)

Good morning. The WCC title will be decided over the next eight weeks and the two Gonzaga-Saint Mary's contests always play a large part in the outcome. The first one is tonight at 8 at the MAC. The Zags will have eight 8 p.m. tipoffs the rest of the season, seven of them on ESPN's family of networks.

Here's my preview. And from our weekly Four Corners page, here are a few notes and a GU-SMC glance. More previews in the San Francisco Chronicle and Contra Costa Times. (Oops, I short-changed San Diego in my preview. Toreros are 1-0 in WCC play).
