Lawmakers shake up leadership posts

Here's a link to my full story at on the outcome of leadership contests in all four legislative caucuses tonight. There was no change in the House GOP caucus, where Speaker Lawerence Denney and Assistant Majority Leader Scott Bedke were unopposed, while Majority Leader Mike Moyle turned back a challenge from Rep. Cliff Bayer and Majority Caucus Chair Ken Roberts defeated Rep. Bob Nonini of Coeur d'Alene to keep his post. But there were shakeups elsewhere, including the Senate, where Sen. Brent Hill is the new president pro-tem and Sen. Chuck Winder defeated Sen. Joe Stegner for assistant majority leader, and the Democratic caucus chose Sen. Edgar Malepeai of Pocatelloo as minority leader.
