Popkey: Firing attempt backfired, cementing bipartisan redistricting panel

Idaho Statesman columnist Dan Popkey reports on a "frank postmortem" of this year's Idaho redistricting process offered by members of the bipartisan redistricting commission this week, as they received an award from the Boise City Club. “The adversity that we had bound us together even more so,” GOP commissioner Sheila Olsen told the group; GOP leaders tried unsuccessfully to fire two of their appointees during the process.
