House Transportation recommends against Senate amendments to H312

The House Transportation Committee has voted unanimously – 17-0 – to NOT concur in the Senate amendments to HB 312, the transportation funding bill.

Asked if the House might request a conference committee, House Assistant Majority Leader Brent Crane, R-Nampa, said, “That’s a very real possibility, and I think a viable possibility. I want to keep all the options open.” He said, “We’ll get with Senate leadership and chart a path forward, and I’m confident we’ll be able to come up with something that both sides can agree on.”

However, the committee’s recommendation against concurring in the amendments – and the possible time needed for a conference committee – likely means an adjournment sine die won’t happen today.
